This week we heard a simple message with life changing energy – nope, not the one about the 3 electrical charges and yes that happened. The message was from John 13:1-17 about influencing others by serving.

Jesus said: “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.“(v14,15).

We read how Jesus Christ washed his disciples’ feet to teach them that the greatest person in God’s eyes is the one who serves others. That simple, putting other’s needs before our own, treating others like we would like to be treated. Tough cookie right, but Christ led by example and put the needs of the whole world before his, he died for all mankind to save us from the punishment for our sins. That is UNSELFISH LOVE! We learned from Jesus what God is willing to do for us, are we ready to show the same love to others?
